We’re the Melvin’s and a not too long ago, we sold almost everything we owned. We left our four-level, 3-bedroom, 3½-bath open-layout townhouse behind to prepare for our most oddish adventure yet: The Great Loop.

For those unfamiliar, the Great Loop is an epic boating journey around nearly half of North America over 6,000 miles of rivers, lakes, canals, and coastal waterways. Our route will take us from Washington, DC down to the southern tip of Florida, across the Gulf, up the Mississippi River, through the breathtaking Great Lakes, into Canada, then back through New York, Delaware, and finally home to DC.

Join us as we prepare our 46’9” Viking Princess yacht for this once-in-a-lifetime challenge and document every step of the journey along the way..
